Program Mission   Event Summaries
The ALPFA Chicago Mentorship Program (ACMP) supports the creation of a learning environment for student members by pairing them with professionals in the workforce. Participation will not only enhance the personal and professional development of ALPFA members, but also increase the morale and satisfaction of these members by fostering dialogue, communication and understanding among ALPFA members, between professionals and students, and across industries and specialties.

For students, the program provides them a forum with which to share ideas, understand the demands and rewards of a professional career, reinforce career choices or explore other career possibilities.

For professionals, the mentorship program is a vehicle for our professional members to learn to develop others through coaching; gain an understanding of the developmental needs of our students and transitional issues they face; and to create networks across all levels.

Program Structure
Our program asks 26 talented, experienced professionals from six distinguished organizations to serve as year-long mentors to ALPFA Student Members in a one-to-one mentoring relationship. We matched these professionals with 26 ALPFA Student Members from DePaul University, Robert Morris College, Northern Illinois University, Purdue University, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign based on similar career interests and aspirations. In addition to informal meetings between mentors and mentees, the program has seven structured events, each one hosted by one of our Corporate Partners.

ACMP Corporate Partners
ALPFA Chicago would like to thank each of this year's Corporate Partners not only for enrolling their talented professionals in our program but also to their commitment to the development of our student members. For these reasons, we say "Thank You."
