Our Vision   Our Mission
ALPFA is the premier Latino professional organization in finance, accounting, and other related professions. ALPFA has active members, committed business partners, and quality programs.
  ALPFA creates opportunities, adds value, and builds relationships for its members, the community and its business partners while expanding Latino Leadership in the global workforce.
 
Our National Strength   Our Chapter Strength
ALPFA is a national professional network of approximately 7,000 members that includes a national office, national and regional leadership comprised of accomplished and dedicated senior executives and professionals, 32 professional chapters, and 30 student chapters in key cities. ALPFA hosts over 300 total combined annual events across all chapters and has partnerships with over 200 corporations nationally.   ALPFA Chicago has over 450 members, five student chapters, and is among the Top 5 largest professional chapters in the country. The chapter is led by 13 professionals, who volunteer their time to develop and execute events and programs that realize the mission of ALPFA for Latinos in the Midwest. Our chapter hosts over 30 events per year, including its three Premier Events - the Leadership Summit, the Women of ALPFA Event, and the ALPFA Mentoring Program.

Our Chapter - The History of ALPFA Chicago
The Chicago Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) was founded in 1987 as a not-for-profit entity to promote careers in accounting and finance. It was formerly known as The Midwest Association of Hispanic Accountants (MAHA). On January 1, 2000, MAHA affiliated to the American Association of Hispanic CPA’s (AAHCPA).

ALPFA Chicago is a strong advocate for the advancement of Latinos and is committed to providing professional development opportunities to its members, as well as create awareness of the accounting and finance professions within our communities.

ALPFA Chicago also recognizes the challenges faced by Latinos to fund their undergraduate studies and is dedicated to assisting Latino students pursue and complete their higher education degrees in accounting, finance, information technology, or other business discipline.
