Congratulations to Yuri Feliciano for the dedication to ALPFA that she has demonstrated since the last ALPFA National Convention in Fort Worth, TX. She was so inspired by her experience there that she later approached the Board of ALPFA Chicago and asked us how she could bring the ALPFA experience to her campus. Well, after several months of planning, it is my pleasure to announce that we have promoted the Student Interest Group at Purdue University to Student Chapter status and confer upon it all the rights and privileges thereto appertaining. Congratulations to Yuri, who will serve as President of this Chapter. Congratulations also go out to her team: Abelardo Molina as Vice President, Angela Hensley as Treasurer, Joey Morales as Secretary, Sergio Cruz, and Jennifer Campos.

Again, congratulations to the newest member of our ALPFA Student Family, ALPFA Purdue.

“Through hard work, self-motivation, and encouragement, ALPFA has taught me that nothing is impossible. Although I’m a hard worker and self-motivate, the latter of the three is something that I could have not done without ALPFA. The encouragement and support that I received from ALPFA’s members played an instrumental part in my success. In every meeting, summit, or mentorship event that I attended, the same questions and remarks were always made: Karla, where do you plan to work? Karla, you should aim higher! Karla, you can do it! Till one day I finally heard: Karla, I’m so proud of you, I knew you could do it!”

“Although the constant questioning made me think twice about the decisions I was making, everything time that I did make a decision I was valiant, secure, and confident that I have made the right decision.”

Congratulations to Karla on her success.
